2011 Writing (Coloring) and Photo Contest

            The Legend Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District is sponsoring our annual writing (coloring) contest again this year.  We are also adding a new category: My favorite photographs.  We have been very impressed with the articles and pictures that were submitted in previous years, and we hope all our talented writers, photographers, and artists continue to share their special memories with all of us.  These are the categories for this year.

 

Ages 3-7  -   Color a picture of the lake or something on it, a picture of the beautiful wildlife

                       in our area or a collage of lake activities.

 

Ages 8-11  -   Write about "My Favorite Memories or Activities at Legend Lake" or

"My Observations of Wild Life at Legend Lake,” or submit a photo showing scenery, wildlife or activities.

 

Ages 12-16  -  Write about "What I have Learned to Make Me A Safe Boater".

                         "My Favorite Memories or Activities at Legend Lake" or

"Critters I Have Met at Legend Lake," or submit a photo showing scenery, wildlife or activities.

 

1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd place prizes of gift certificates for merchandise at the Lodge will be awarded in all age groups.  We wish to thank the Legend Lake Property Owners Association for donating the 1^st and 2^nd  place prizes this year.  Your picture, photo, and/or article will be published in the newsletter and on our new website.  Please submit entries to the LLP&RD office at PO Box 95 Keshena, WI  54162 before September 30, 2011  If you are a winner, you will be notified by October 15, 2011

 

            All entries must include:  NAME …. AGE …. LEGEND LAKE ADDRESS …. HOME ADDRESS … AND HOME PHONE NUMBER.  Our notification letters are sent to your home address.  We also will not mention the participants’ ages I the newsletter.  The age is only for judging purposes.
